DALMATIAN JASPER TUMBLE
DALMATIAN JASPER TUMBLE
Dalmatian Jasper
This playful Dalmatian Jasper Tumble is instantly recognizable by its distinctive black and brown spots on a cream or beige background — just like the beloved dog breed it's named after! Carry it as a daily reminder to embrace joy, playfulness, and loyalty.
Where It Is Found
Dalmatian Jasper is found primarily in Chihuahua, Mexico, where it forms in igneous rock formations. Despite its name, it has no connection to the Dalmatia region of Croatia.
Mineral Class / Geology
Dalmatian Jasper is technically not a true Jasper but rather an igneous rock composed primarily of Feldspar and Quartz with inclusions of Tourmaline (Schorl) or Arfvedsonite that create the distinctive black spots. Its hardness is approximately 6–7 on the Mohs scale. The cream to beige base color comes from the Feldspar matrix, while the black spots are caused by Tourmaline or Arfvedsonite inclusions.
Colors
Dalmatian Jasper displays a cream, beige, or pale grey base with distinctive black and sometimes brown spots scattered throughout — creating an unmistakable pattern that closely resembles the coat of a Dalmatian dog. Each piece has a unique spot pattern.
