Mineral Class / Geology

Tree Agate is a variety of Chalcedony, a microcrystalline variety of Quartz (silicon dioxide, SiO₂), in the Tectosilicate mineral class. Its hardness is 6.5–7 on the Mohs scale. The green dendritic inclusions are formed by minerals such as chlorite or hornblende that crystallize in branching, tree-like patterns within the white Chalcedony matrix.

Colors

Tree Agate displays an opaque white base with green, dark green, or blue-green dendritic (tree or branch-like) inclusions. The patterns closely resemble trees, branches, or forest landscapes, giving each piece a unique, nature-inspired appearance.
