LABRADORITE (RAW) CANDLE HOLDER
LABRADORITE (RAW) CANDLE HOLDER
Labradorite
This extraordinary Raw Labradorite Candle Holder is a functional work of natural art — when candlelight dances across its raw, natural surfaces, it awakens the stone's breathtaking labradorescence, creating a magical, ever-shifting display of iridescent color that transforms any space into something truly enchanting.
Where It Is Found
Labradorite is found in several locations worldwide, with major sources in Canada (Labrador), Madagascar, Finland, Russia, and Ukraine. The finest specimens come from Madagascar and Finland (where it is known as Spectrolite).
Mineral Class / Geology
Labradorite is a feldspar mineral (calcium sodium aluminum silicate) in the Plagioclase Feldspar series within the Tectosilicate mineral class. Its hardness is 6–6.5 on the Mohs scale. Its stunning labradorescence is caused by light interference between thin, alternating layers of different feldspar compositions within the stone, diffracting light into brilliant flashes of blue, green, gold, orange, red, and violet. Candlelight is particularly effective at activating this effect.
Colors
Labradorite's base color is a dark grey to greyish-black, with iridescent flashes of electric blue, teal, green, gold, orange, red, and violet appearing when light hits it at the right angle. The warm, flickering light of a candle creates a uniquely dynamic and magical labradorescence display.
Metaphysical Properties
Labradorite is known as the Stone of Magic, Transformation, and Protection. It resonates with the Third Eye and Crown Chakras and is used to strengthen intuition and psychic abilities, protect the aura from energy leaks and negative influences, support transformation and major life changes, enhance magical abilities and synchronicity, and reveal the truth behind illusions. Combined with the transformative element of fire (candlelight), this piece creates a powerful focal point for ritual, meditation, and magical intention work.
