LABRADORITE HEART
LABRADORITE HEART
Labradorite
This enchanting Labradorite Heart combines the universal symbol of love with the magical, transformative energy of Labradorite — its dark exterior concealing a breathtaking inner world of iridescent color that flashes and shifts in light, a reminder that the most profound beauty often lies beneath the surface.
Where It Is Found
Labradorite is found in several locations worldwide, with major sources in Canada (Labrador), Madagascar, Finland, Russia, and Ukraine. The finest specimens come from Madagascar and Finland (where it is known as Spectrolite).
Mineral Class / Geology
Labradorite is a feldspar mineral (calcium sodium aluminum silicate) in the Plagioclase Feldspar series within the Tectosilicate mineral class. Its hardness is 6–6.5 on the Mohs scale. Its stunning labradorescence is caused by light interference between thin, alternating layers of different feldspar compositions within the stone, diffracting light into brilliant flashes of blue, green, gold, orange, red, and violet.
Colors
Labradorite's base color is a dark grey to greyish-black, with iridescent flashes of electric blue, teal, green, gold, orange, red, and violet appearing when light hits it at the right angle. No two pieces display exactly the same color pattern.
Metaphysical Properties
Labradorite is known as the Stone of Magic, Transformation, and Protection. It resonates with the Third Eye and Crown Chakras and is used to strengthen intuition and psychic abilities, protect the aura from energy leaks and negative influences, support transformation and major life changes, enhance magical abilities and synchronicity, awaken one's sense of adventure and destiny, and reveal the truth behind illusions.
