DENDRITIC AGATE POINT
DENDRITIC AGATE POINT
Dendritic Agate
This striking Dendritic Agate Point combines the directional energy of a crystal point with the grounding, nature-connected energy of Dendritic Agate — an excellent tool for intention setting and deepening your connection to the natural world.
Note: The dendritic inclusions in this stone are not plant fossils — they are naturally occurring manganese or iron oxide mineral formations that grow in branching, tree-like patterns within the Agate during its formation.
Where It Is Found
Dendritic Agate is found worldwide, with notable sources in Russia, Brazil, India, the United States, Kazakhstan, and China.
Mineral Class / Geology
Dendritic Agate is a variety of Chalcedony, a microcrystalline variety of Quartz (silicon dioxide, SiO₂), in the Tectosilicate mineral class. Its hardness is 6.5–7 on the Mohs scale. The dendritic inclusions are formed by manganese or iron oxides that crystallize in branching patterns within the Chalcedony matrix during its formation.
Colors
Dendritic Agate is typically white, grey, or colorless with black, dark brown, or reddish-brown dendritic (tree or fern-like) inclusions. The contrast between the light base and dark inclusions creates a striking, landscape-like appearance that makes each piece look like a miniature painting of a forest or winter trees.
