HOWLITE POINT
HOWLITE POINT
Howlite
This striking Howlite Point channels the deeply calming, stillness-inducing energy of one of the crystal world's most soothing stones with focused precision — its white to grey marble-like surface and the directional energy of the point form combining to create an exceptional tool for directing calm, patient, clear-minded energy toward your intentions.
Note: Our Howlite is natural, undyed white Howlite. Howlite is commonly dyed blue to imitate Turquoise — natural Howlite is always white to grey with dark grey veining.
Where It Is Found
Howlite is found in Canada (Nova Scotia, where it was first discovered in 1868 by Henry How, after whom it is named), United States (California), Mexico, Turkey, and Germany.
Mineral Class / Geology
Howlite is a calcium borosilicate hydroxide mineral (Ca₂B₅SiO₉(OH)₅) in the Borate mineral class, with a hardness of 3–3.5 on the Mohs scale. It forms in evaporite deposits and its dark grey veining is caused by carbon or manganese oxide inclusions.
Colors
Natural Howlite is white to light grey with distinctive dark grey to black veining — a striking, marble-like pattern. The point form showcases this pattern across its polished faces.
Metaphysical Properties
Howlite is known as the Stone of Stillness, Patience, and Calm. It resonates with the Crown Chakra and is used to calm the mind and reduce mental chatter, support restful sleep, cultivate patience and emotional calm, reduce anger and impulsive reactions, enhance the ability to receive wisdom, and bring a deep sense of stillness and inner quiet. As a point, it focuses these calming energies with precision.
