OPALITE SPHERE
OPALITE SPHERE
Opalite
This breathtaking Opalite Sphere is one of the most visually stunning spheres available — its soft, milky iridescence radiates in all directions, shifting between pale blue, peach, and white as light moves through it, creating an almost otherworldly, glowing display that is as mesmerizing as it is beautiful.
Important note: Opalite is a man-made glass — it is not a naturally occurring mineral or gemstone. It is produced by infusing opalescent glass with metal to create its distinctive milky, iridescent glow. This transparency is important to us — Opalite's beauty and metaphysical properties stand entirely on their own merits.
What It Is
Opalite is a man-made opalescent glass, typically produced by combining glass with metal oxides to create its characteristic milky, iridescent appearance. It has a hardness of approximately 5.5–6 on the Mohs scale. The sphere form is particularly spectacular for Opalite — light passes through and around the perfectly round form, activating the full depth of its iridescent glow from every angle.
Colors
Opalite displays a soft, milky translucence that shifts between pale blue, peach-pink, and white depending on the angle of light and the color of the background. Against a dark background it glows with a cool blue iridescence; against a light background it appears warm and peach-toned. In sphere form, this shifting quality creates a stunning, three-dimensional glow that seems to come from within the stone.
Metaphysical Properties
Opalite is known as the Stone of Eternity, Transition, and Gentle Communication. It resonates with the Third Eye and Crown Chakras and is used to support smooth transitions and major life changes, enhance communication — especially of difficult feelings, boost self-esteem and a sense of personal worth, bring a gentle, uplifting energy to any space or practice, support meditation and connection to higher states of consciousness, and bring a sense of calm, hope, and emotional renewal. As a sphere, it radiates these gentle energies equally in all directions.
