Where It Is Found

Peach Moonstone is found primarily in India (the primary commercial source), Sri Lanka (historically prized for classic white "Ceylon Moonstone"), Madagascar, Tanzania, and Myanmar.

Mineral Class / Geology

Peach Moonstone is a variety of Orthoclase Feldspar (KAlSi₃O₈) in the Tectosilicate mineral class, with a hardness of 6–6.5 on the Mohs scale. Its adularescence is caused by light scattering between alternating layers of Orthoclase and Albite Feldspar within the crystal structure. Its warm peach color is caused by trace iron within the Orthoclase. In sphere form, the adularescence plays across the full 360° polished surface, creating a constantly shifting, luminous display from every angle.

Peach Moonstone displays warm peach, apricot, and cream tones with a soft, floating adularescent glow that moves and shifts across the sphere's surface as the viewing angle changes — especially mesmerizing in sphere form.
