Hematoid Fire Quartz is a variety of Quartz (silicon dioxide, SiO₂) in the Tectosilicate mineral class, with a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale. Its vivid red-orange color is caused by inclusions of Hematite (iron oxide, Fe₂O₃) distributed throughout the Quartz crystal interior. When light passes through the freeform, it illuminates the Hematite inclusions from within, creating a breathtaking fiery glow across the stone's organic, polished surfaces.
